History
Our motivation.
As college students, we know how confusing it can be to choose a college degree when you're
in school. In the same way that at that time we would have liked to have someone to talk to,
now we want to help high school students find their calling. Therefore, we are interested in
being able to provide advice and support to future university students during their
decision-making process.
Our achievements.
WECode Competition
- 1er puesto en el Harvard WECODE pitching competition
- Six finalist startups focused on technology innovation and social impact had the opportunity to give an 8 min pitch followed by a 3 minute Q&A with the judges: Sarah Kunst (Senior Advisor, Bumble), Sarah Fay (Managing Director, Glasswing Ventures), and Lara Druyan (Managing Director, Silicon Valley Data Capital).
- GurUh won Harvard’s WECode Startup Pitch Competition 2021 and audience favorite category. The judges were impressed by GurUh's initiative, innovation, commitment to serving communities, and presentation skills.
START Fellowship
- Participants in the START Fellowship Program
- The Scholarship program is an initiative of the University of St. Gallen and the START Global organization, these two are in charge of holding the annual conference on entrepreneurship, innovation and world's largest start-ups: START Summit.
- Dianis Caro (on behalf of GurUh) was chosen among the 20 scholarship projects among more than 1000 applicants to participate in the program that covers a semester of studies, access to laboratories and tools, a network of mentors, in addition to the study and the guide for development of the start-up.
ELCONCURSO
- Winners of THE CONTEST: Innovation with ICT
- The Contest: Innovation with ICT is a contest in which the mid-career projects of Computer and Systems Engineering students participate. The contest is sponsored by two internationally recognized companies, DataTraffic and Treble.ai, with the support of the University of the Andes.
- GurUh stood out for being an innovative proposal with social impact, supported by a highly committed entrepreneurial team.
LA MUESTRA
- GurUh Project -1st place
at LA MUESTRA: Innovation fair - GurUh project, developed with a team of 6 engineers, ranked first (1st) in the academic category among the projects participating in the virtual innovation fair LA MUESTRA.
- LA MUESTRA is an academic event, organized by Los Andes University, for the Innovation Week. This event presents the innovation projects of mid-career for Administration, Science and Engineering students.
